We have fantastic permanent, full-time opportunities available in our Culbrae Service in
Dunkeld. Culbrae is a 3 bed house set in idyllic, tranquil grounds in the beautiful surroundings of rural
Perthshire.


About the position:


As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, your days will be a mix of shared experiences, outdoor escapades, cake baking extravaganzas, and cosy coffee outings, your days limited only by our young people’s imagination.
You will become an important part of our young peoples lives, supporting them and helping
to ensure their physical, emotional and developmental needs are met.


About you:


While experience of working with children and young people with autism or complex learning or behavioural needs would be desirable, it is not essential. We want good people, with drive and passion to spend time with our young people and share in their experiences. You will be empathetic, resilient and truly want to make a meaningful difference.


About Moore House Group:


Moore House Group offers residential support to young people from all over the UK. The postholder will work closely with Moore House Academies in Bathgate or Dunkeld, and the wider organisation, to provide consistent and positive opportunities for all our children and young people.


Our approach is firmly based on building positive nurturing relationships using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE).


Shift Pattern and Job Type:


This Practitioner post is permanent, full-time and includes sleepovers and variable working patterns. We believe in a fair work / life balance and feel this helps our team members thrive. Sleepovers and longer days can help reduce any commute and support that work / life balance. Our Practitioners work a variety of shifts that includes days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.


An example, of what your shift pattern could look like:
● Week 1 – Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
● Week 2 – Tuesday, Thursday

● Week 3 – Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
● Week 4 – Monday, Sunday


You will need to be someone who is happy working variable shifts including
sleepover shifts as required.


Salary & Benefits:
As a Practitioner you will earn a generous salary, as well as fantastic staff benefits.

Practitioner Grade 6: HND and SVQ3£32,040.88
Practitioner Grade 7: Degree and SVQ3£33,311.11
Salaries noted exclude sleepover payments.

Our fantastic Training Academy supports staff with their training, development and
SVQ qualifications.
