Overview
Are you someone who enjoys creating a clean, welcoming environment and takes pride in
home cooking? Do you want a role that offers flexibility and the chance to make a
meaningful difference in the lives of young people?
We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and organised Cook/Housekeeper to join our team in a
Residential Childcare setting. This is more than just a housekeeping role – you’ll be part of a
supportive team helping young people feel safe, cared for, and at home.
We have flexible opportunities available:
- 1x Housekeeper to work 20 hours/week across two of our houses in Butterstone, Dunkeld.
- 1x Housekeeper to work 10 hours/week in our house based in Stanley.
- Or, combine both for a 30 hours/week role across both locations.
We can offer flexibility with the days and times worked!
We can be flexible and we’re happy to chat through what might work for you. You’ll enjoy the stability of a permanent contract with guaranteed hours, plus the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Keeping our homes clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Taking care of day-to-day housekeeping tasks, as well as deep cleans.
- Helping to plan and prepare meals, and doing grocery shopping when needed.
- Supporting young people in developing important life skills and engaging with them in a positive, respectful way.
- Maintaining hygiene standards in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry areas, including linen management.
- Following appropriate food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is desirable.
- Confidence with basic cooking and food preparation.
- A certificate in food handling is preferred – or a willingness to complete one.
- Some experience working with or around children and young people is beneficial.
- A kind, proactive and friendly attitude.
A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as our homes are not easily reached by public transport.
