Relocation Opportunity

Looking for a Wonderful Place to Live and Work?

In the tranquil and beautiful rural area of Dunkeld, only 60 miles from Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital, we understand that it can be daunting, making the leap to living in Scotland.  However, there is affordable housing in the local area and a relocation package is available for the successful candidate(s).

The pretty village of Dunkeld sits on the banks of the River Tay.  There are some wonderful walks in the area including along the banks of the Tay.  The focal point of the village is the beautiful cathedral.  Nearby Blairgowrie is a traditional Highland town and offers a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, banks, restaurants and places of interest.

Moore House Group is a dynamic organisation offering a range of services to support the individual needs of children and young people as they move through their life journeys.  Our approach is firmly based on building positive, nurturing relationships using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE).

We are looking for positive, compassionate and caring Practitioners to join our residential teams at our Culbrae service in Dunkeld, set in beautiful, idyllic grounds.  With a “can-do” attitude, strongly motivated, caring, compassionate, with a calm and nurturing demeanour, our Practitioners support children and young people with daily living tasks, activities / hobbies, medication, and may include elements of personal care.

The role of Practitioner can be very emotionally and physically challenging at times so it is essential you are resilient and possess the emotional intelligence to handle challenging situations.  You need to be adaptable, have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those you care for using a consistent, person-centred approach. You should be empathetic to individual needs and communication difficulties, and must be able to stay calm and responsive in potentially stressful situations.  Experience of working with children and young people who have complex support needs, autism or complex learning needs would be desirable.

Our Practitioners enjoy working a variety of shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.  Full-time and part-time working hours may be considered.

  • Salary offered will be dependent on qualifications.
  • Sleepover allowance of around £5,000 per annum in addition to basic salary.
  • Access to a comprehensive training programme, including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • Free confidential employee assistance programme.
  • Refer a Friend Bonus Scheme.
  • Access to our group pension scheme.
