Adam McDiarmid (He/Him)

Clinical Support Manager at Abercorn Clinic

With a background in social care and inequality reduction, Adam joined the team in 2016 and became a Senior in 2019 before taking over the role of Manager in 2024. Adam is trained to Level 2 in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Level 1 in Theraplay and has completed the COCSA Certificate in Counselling Skills Levels 1-4.

Adam has attended several training courses on topics from Child Exploitation to Sleep, and is an accredited Seasons for Growth Companion and CEOP Education Ambassador. Adam holds an Honours degree in Psychology and Sociology and an MSc in Child Development. He has also completed his SCQF Levels 7 and 9 in Social Care.

Adam strives to help young people feel seen and heard, creating a therapeutic environment while making fond memories. Adam has continuously aimed to improve his understanding of adversities imposed on babies, children and young people, and their families, so he can better contribute to positive change through inclusive practice.
