Tracey Ford-McNicol

Head of Education - Dunkeld

Tracey serves as the Head of Education at our Moore House Group, Dunkeld Campus.

With four decades of experience, working with young people with additional support needs, both as a teacher and latterly as a senior manager. She is passionate about helping others, especially the most vulnerable who get the least out of our systems, and is committed to supporting them to realise their potential and achieve their ambitions.

Tracey believes that challenges can become opportunities as long as we work as a team and communicate with each other. She emphasises the importance of promoting equality and diversity, respecting diversity, challenging inequality, and fostering inclusion and participation. 

Her approach is characterised by commitment, motivation, and energy, with strong communication skills developed through interactions with a wide range of young people, colleagues, and partners, as well as volunteering experiences within the local community and as a member of the Children’s Panel. 

Employing a creative and responsive leadership style honed over numerous change management projects, Tracey is open to change and can respond flexibly to new challenges, providing momentum when driving change. She firmly believes that high-quality teaching and learning, within an environment centred on positive relationships, enable children and young people to gain the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need for their life’s journey
