Danya Millar

Residential Advisor

Danya retired in March 2021 after a 42-year career in the Residential Care Sector. For
the last 40 years she worked with children and young people with complex additional
support needs and their families. She became Registered Manager of this service in 2003
when it was school care accommodation and then onto respite/outreach services in 2012.
In 1994 she set up the first play scheme for children with autism and worked with
children and young people on an individual basis during the school holidays. Throughout her
career Danya’s’ passion has always been about supporting children, young people and their
families to realise their potential.
