Overview

We are looking for a Night Care Officer to join our residential teams at our Kettlemill in Cupar, set in beautiful, idyllic grounds. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high standards of care and support to our children and young people. The postholder will be a positive, compassionate and caring individual who will be supporting our children and young people who may have autism, sensory impairments and learning disabilities.

The postholder will work in an environment that can be challenging as well as rewarding, and will develop and maintain appropriate relationships with young people, colleagues and other agencies. We are interested in experienced residential child care workers for this post who have the ability to problem-solve effectively, manage challenging situations through a relational approach with our children and young people, and who support the day team in maintaining a safe living environment for our young people to enjoy. You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of starting in this post.

Induction & Working Pattern

Please note that induction lasts for 3 weeks and takes place during daytime hours (09:00 – 17:00). Attendance at all induction sessions is mandatory.

Upon successful completion of induction, you will move onto the Night Care Officer rota, which operates on a 4 on / 4 off rolling pattern.

Night shifts run from 21:30 to 08:30.
